LONDON (Alliance News) - Dunelm Group PLC said on Friday that it will appoint Laura Carr, the group financial controller of Compass Group PLC, as chief financial officer "in the Autumn".
Carr will replace the furniture and homeware retailer's current CFO, Keith Down, who is stepping down May 24. In the meantime, Dunelm will appoint David Stead, who previously held the position at Dunelm, as interim CFO.
Prior to her current position at caterer Compass, Carr was CFO at Indigo Books & Music Inc.
"We are looking forward to Laura joining the Dunelm team to work with Nick Wilkinson, our new CEO. Laura brings a breadth of business and finance experience, which will really help us to achieve our ambitious business plans to become the leading multi-channel retailer in our space," said Dunelm Chairman Andy Harrison.
Compass also announced that it will appoint two non-executive directors to its board: Anne-Francoise Nesmes and John Bryant. Nesmes will be appointed on July 1 and Bryant will appointed later, on September 1.
Nemses is the current CFO of Merlin Entertainments PLC and former CFO of Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC. Bryant was formerly the executive chairman and chief executive officer at Kellogg Co.
Compass additionally said that its senior independent director, Don Robert, is retiring May 31 and will be succeeded by John Bason on June 1.
