LONDON (Alliance News) - Recycled packaging company DS Smith PLC on Wednesday said trading for the year to the end of April was in line with its expectations.
The group said it saw good volume growth across the business and robust returns on sales compared to the prior year. Growth from its large pan-European customer base was particularly strong, the company said, helped by its rapidly-growing e-commerce channel.
The company said the acquisitions made over the course of the financial year are performing well.
"Packaging, and the supply chain in which it plays a part, is of great importance to our customers as they adapt for the evolving multi-channel retail environment. Over the year we have grown organically and by acquisition while at the same time improving our margin, and we remain excited about the opportunities for the business," said Chief Executive Miles Roberts.
DS Smith will publish annual results on June 23.
