LONDON (Alliance News) - Drax Group PLC said Thursday it appointed Andy Skelton as chief financial officer, with effect from the beginning of January.
Skelton, who has been CFO of Fidessa Group PLC since 2015, will replace Interim CFO Den Jones who in turn will remain with Drax until June to support the acquisition and integration of a Scottish Power portfolio of low-carbon power generation assets from Spain's Iberdrola SA.
Skelton was previously deputy CFO at CSR PLC, before its acquisition by Qualcomm Inc. Before joining CSR he held senior finance positions at Ericsson and Marconi Co Ltd, Drax added.
Fidessa, which provides software and services for trading and investment management, was acquired by ION Investment Group Ltd in September and delisted. Under the deal agreed in April, Fidessa was valued about GBP1.5 billion.
Shares in Drax were trading up 0.8% at 406.80 pence each early Thursday morning.
