Dragon Oil First Quarter Production Up And Rising More In April

LONDON (Alliance News) - Dragon Oil PLC on Thursday said its first quarter production rose year on year and said the ramp up of its production has continued into April.

The company said average gross production from its Cheleken contract area in Turkmenistan hit 88,700 barrels of oil per day in the first quarter to the end of March, up 23% year-on-year.

Its average gross production rose to 89,600 barrels per day in March and continued to rise into April, with average gross production at just over 93,000 barrels per day in the first few weeks of the month.

Shares in Dragon were up 1.0% to 638.00 pence.
