(Alliance News) - AIM-listed DP Poland PLC on Friday said its performance improved in 2019 and it expects the trend to continue despite strong competition.
The stock was trading 11% higher in London on Friday at 9.00 pence a share.
The operator of Domino's Pizza stores in Poland reported sales growth of 13% to PLN81 million, about GBP16.1 million, in 2019 from PLN72 million a year earlier. On a like-for-like basis, revenue grew by 3% over the year.
DP Poland said its store numbers grew in 2019 to 69 from 63 in 2018.
"2019 delivered continued expansion and growth in system sales during the year, notwithstanding the strong comparatives driven by our TV advertising in January and February 2018," said Chief Executive Iwona Olbrys.
Looking ahead, she added: "While we continue to experience the impact of competition and labour inflation particularly, we expect to continue to see the positive effects of our well-received marketing campaign, our strong digital presence, and the strength of the Domino's reputation for quality and service."
DP Poland said it will report its 2019 results on March 31.
