DP Poland Posts 14th Consecutive Quarter Of Double-Digit Growth

3rd May 2016 11:22

LONDON (Alliance News) - DP Poland PLC on Tuesday reported growth in like-for-like system sales in the first quarter of 2016, leading to its 14th consecutive quarter of double digit like-for-like sales growth.

DP Poland, which owns the exclusive rights to develop, operate and sub-franchise Domino's Pizza stores in Poland, said like-for-like system sales grew by 23% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2016. It said this was its 14th consecutive quarter of double-digit growth since the final quarter of 2012.

The company added that new store openings in new cities are performing well, with 26 stores open in six cities by mid-April. Three stores are currently under construction alongside a pipeline of openings planned for the second half of 2016, DP Poland said.

"While the existing store estate is performing well the sales performance of our latest store openings outside of Warsaw is particularly encouraging," Chief Executive Peter Shaw said in a statement.

Shares in DP Poland were trading up 1.9% at 26.50 pence on Tuesday afternoon.
