LONDON (Alliance News) - Richard Kellett-Clarke has stood down as chair of DotDigital Group PLC and non-executive director at IDOX PLC on Wednesday, with DotDigital explaining this was due to "private matters in his other directorship."
Kellett-Clarke was only appointed DotDigital non-executive chair last Tuesday, after former incumbent Frank Beechinor-Collins stood down after eight years in the role. It was announced at the time of his appointment that a new chair would be appointed before October 2020.
Kellett-Clarke - founder and former boss of AFX News - has been a non-executive at DotDigital since 2011.
DotDigital explained Kellett-Clarke would leave "due to private matters in his other directorship", without specifying details.
Tink Taylor has been appointed interim chair until a permanent appointment can be made.
"I would like to thank Richard for all his tremendous efforts at dotdigital and all the help and support he has given the company and me in the past eight years", DotDigital Chief Executive Officer Milan Patel said.
In a separate announcement, IDOX announced that Kellett-Clarke had stepped down with immediate effect in order to "focus on other business interests."
IDOX thanked Kellett-Clarke for his "contribution to the group both as an executive and non-executive director, and wish him well for the future." Kellett-Clarke had served as interim chief executive officer of IDOX between December 2017 and June 2018.
Shares in DotDigital were 1.3% higher at 95.75 pence on Wednesday, IDOX 1.3% higher at 37.89p.
