(Alliance News) - Doric Nimrod Air Three Ltd set out a timeline for liquidation on Friday after it agreed to sell four Airbus A380-861 aircraft to Emirates Group for GBP131.9 million.
Doric Nimrod Air Three is a Guernsey-based investment firm focused on the leasing and resale of aircraft.
The company bought the aircraft in 2013 and leased them to to the United Arab Emirates national carrier Emirates for twelve years.
The total cost paid by Emirates is GBP131.9 million. For each aircraft, this is equivalent to USD25 million for the purchase of the title and USD20 million for the buyout of the return conditions.
The company said it intends to distribute the sale proceeds to shareholders along with the remaining cash holdings, net of any liquidation and other costs, as soon as possible after the last lease end date.
It said payment to shareholders is currently expected to be made in the first quarter of 2026. The company said it anticipates that the liquidation process will start as soon as possible after this.
It expects the regular quarterly dividend to be declared in October to be the last interim dividend declared by the company.
Shares in Doric Nimrod Air Three were up 6.8% at 64.62 pence in London on Friday morning.
