Domino's Pizza's Group Founder Colin Harper to leave board in April

1st Dec 2021 11:52

(Alliance News) - Domino's Pizza Group PLC on Wednesday said its founder, Colin Harper, will step down non-executive deputy chair at the company's annual general meeting in 2022.

The Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire-based pizza delivery company said Harper will leave the board to focus on his other business interests in the US. Domino's Pizza holds its AGM in April.

Colin Harper founded Domino's Pizza in the UK and Ireland when he acquired the master franchise agreement with US brand holder Domino's Pizza Inc in 1993. He also led the company's listing on AIM in 1999 and its move to the London Main Market in 2008.

He initially served as executive chair and then as non-executive vice chair from 2007.

"Colin has been a pivotal figure in the development of the Domino's brand in the UK and Ireland, and it is thanks to his vision that the company is as strong as it is today," Chair Matt Shattock said.

Shares were up 1.5% at 364.20 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
