LONDON (Alliance News) - Domino's Pizza Group PLC Wednesday said that it has appointed interim Chief Executive Officer David Wild to the role on a permanent basis, with immediate effect.
The pizza delivery chain originally appointed Wild on an interim basis in January to fill the shoes of former CEO Lance Batchelor who left mid-March. Domino's Pizza said Wild now will continue in the role on a permanent basis.
Prior to his role as interim CEO, Wilde was a senior non-executive director of the company.
Domino's Pizza reappointed Michael Swallow as senior independent director with immediate effect.
The group said it is confident in Wild's ability to drive the business forward.
Earlier this month, the pizza chain said it made a strong start to the year, recording a 15% rise in the last quarter, as the number of sales made online continued to grow.
Shares in Domino's Pizza were up 0.4% at 515.00 pence per share Wednesday morning.
