1st Apr 2020 15:03

(Alliance News) - Domino's Pizza Group PLC on Tuesday said it has hired Dominic Paul as chief executive effective from Monday next week.

The FTSE 250-listed pizza delivery chain said Paul will join the board on May 1, succeeding David Wild who announced his retirement in August.

Paul was chief executive & managing director of coffee chain Costa Coffee from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of International division with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. He has also held senior roles at airlines Easyjet PLC and British Airways, Domino's said.

"We are delighted to have attracted a chief executive of Dominic's calibre, and I'm very much looking forward to working with him. He is a high energy leader with great experience of driving powerful consumer brands to new heights, and of partnering with franchisees. These are the skills which will be vital as we seek to take this business to the next level," said Domino's Chair Matt Shattock.

Shares in Domino's were trading 4.7% higher at 297.32 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London.
