Dolphin Says Colony Invests EUR40.4 Million Into Amanzoe

8th Aug 2014 08:23

LONDON (Alliance News) - Dolphin Capital Investors Ltd Friday reported the closing of a EUR40.4 million investment by Colony Capital into Amanzoe, the real estate investment company's luxury resort hotel and villa complex near Porto Heli, Peloponnese, Greece.

Dolphin had previously signed a non-binding agreement with Colony Capital Acquisitions LLC, acting on behalf of managed funds, for a potential investment in Amanzoe. Colony has since been been performing legal, financial and technical due diligence on the deal.

The deal agreed is for a EUR40.4 million second priority loan facility into Amanzoe.

"The board of Dolphin and the investment manager believe that this is a very important transaction for the company as it showcases the value of Amanzoe and establishes a strategic relationship with Colony, one of the world's leading and most respected real estate investors, with significant experience in large scale luxury integrated resorts," Dolphin said in a statement.

Still, Dolphin Capital shares were down 3.5% at 35.00 pence Friday morning.
