DJI Holdings Sees No Material Impact From China Lottery Suspensions

10th Mar 2015 10:20

LONDON (Alliance News) - Chinese regulated lottery products company DJI Holdings on Tuesday affirmed its full-year expectations despite the decision by a number of provincial lottery centres in China to temporarily suspend accepting online orders.

DJI said that in response to legislation from the Chinese Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Civil Affairs and the General Administration of Sports of the People's Republic of China, a number of provincial lottery centres have suspended accepting online orders from March 1, on a temporary basis, while they undergo self-inspection processes.

DJI said lottery sales across China will be materially reduced due to the temporary suspension, but the company said it believes online lottery sales will resume in the near future and, therefore, that the suspension will not have a material impact on its 2015 results.

The company said it "views the temporary suspension as an important step in controlling unauthorised online lottery sales to ensure healthy development of the online lottery market in China".

DJI shares were down 5.3% to 71.00 pence on Tuesday.
