LONDON (Alliance News) - Diverse Income Trust PLC on Thursday said it will conduct a search for a new non-executive director when Jane Tufnell retires at its October annual general meeting.
Tufnell's departure is part of a succession programme which results from four of the trust's non-executive directors having begun their service in 2011. Under the UK corporate governance code, non-executive directors are no longer considered to be independent if they have served on the board for more than nine years.
According to the trust, a search for her successor will be conducted "in due course" and will give "due consideration" to the AIC Code of Corporate Governance and to board diversity.
Shares in Diverse Income were down 0.6% at 92.89 pence on Thursday.
