(Alliance News) - Directa Plus PLC on Thursday said it secured a patent, by the US Patent & Trademark Office, relating to its technology to produce a water-based dispersion of pristine graphene nanoplatelets.
The graphene nanoplatelets producer said the technology allows it to create an ink, based on its G+ graphene product.
The grant follows the award of a US patent for the company's core, chemical-free graphene manufacturing process which produces graphene nanoplatelets with a high level of purity.
Directa Plus said G+'s main benefit is its high degree of dispersibility in any water-based hosting formulation, making the incorporation process easier.
"This grant, following on from the recent grant of patent protection for our core manufacturing process in the US, is another milestone towards launching into US markets and a further demonstration of the strength of our IP portfolio," said Founder & Chief Executive Giulio Cesareo.
Directa Plus shares were trading 1.2% higher on Thursday in London at 84.50 pence each.
