LONDON (Alliance News) - Waterman Group PLC said Tuesday that its chairman and chief executive officer bought shares on Monday.
Chairman Roger Fidgen bought 35,000 shares at 56.00 pence per share, raising his holding in the engineering and environmental consultancy to 85,000 shares, 0.27% of the total.
CEO Nicolas Taylor purchased 40,000 shares for 54.00p per share. Taylor also exercised a conditional award of 38,000 shares. He sold these 38,000 shares at 54.50p per share and then repurchased 38,000 shares at 56.00p. The additional 78,000 shares raises Taylor's total holding to 163,128 shares, 0.53% of the company.
The share purchases came as Waterman reported Monday that its pretax profit and revenue decreased for the year to June 30, but the company still increased its annual dividend by 67%.
Waterman shares were quoted early Tuesday at 56.95p, up 3.6%.
