DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Vedanta Resources Adviser Albanese Buys Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - Metals and mining firm Vedanta Resources PLC Monday said that Tom Albanese, an adviser to the company, and former chief executive of mining giant Rio Tinto PLC, bought 25,163 shares in the company at a price of 885 pence per share on December 27.

Albanese now holds a total of 65,250 shares in Vedanta, which recently was demoted to the FTSE 250 from FTSE 100.

Vedanta Resources' shares were trading at 926.00 pence per share before midday Monday, up 2.7%.
