LONDON (Alliance News) - Tesco PLC said a group of executives and directors, including Chief Executive Officer Dave Lewis, bought a total of 223,198 shares on Thursday.
The total value of the deals is worth about GBP446,000.
Details are as follows:
Lewis bought 99,950 shares at 200.1 pence each.
Chairman John Allan bought 50,891 shares at a price of 196.5p.
Senior Independent Director Richard Cousins bought 17,357 shares at 199p.
Chief Financial Officer Alan Stewart bought 50,000 shares at 202.4p.
Non-Executive Director Mikael Olsson bought 5,000 shares at 200.1p.
The purchases came after Tesco said Wednesday it swung back to profit in the first half of its financial year. The supermarket chain reported a GBP74 million pretax profit in the 26 weeks ended August 29, an improvement on the GBP19 million pretax loss a year before.
Shares were up 2.2% at 201.30p late Thursday.
