LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Tuesday and late on Monday.

WPP said Non-Executive Chairman Roberto Quarta bought shares in the group on Monday. Quarta acquired 5,800 shares at 1,473.00 pence per share, increasing his total holding to 19,000 shares. The transaction was worth GBP85,434.
Quarta took over as the media and advertising group's chairman earlier this year and is also the chairman of FTSE 100 medical devices company Smith & Nephew.
The purchase took place the same day WPP said it had agreed to merge its Australian and New Zealand businesses with STW Communications Group Ltd, an Australian marketing and communications group. As part of the deal, WPP will also increase its shareholding in STW to 61.5% from 23.6%.
WPP shares closed up 2.2% at 1,498.70p on Tuesday.

Infrastructure, managed services and smart-building services company Coms said Chief Executive Mark Braund bought 1.0 million shares in the business on Monday. The acquisition of the shares, for 1.00 pence per share, worth GBP10,000, takes Braund's total holding up to 5.5 million shares, or a 0.4% stake in the company. Coms shares closed up 22% at 1.16p Tuesday.

Infection protection and contamination control products company Tristel said Chief Executive Paul Swinney and Finance Director Elizabeth Dixon have bought shares in the company. On Tuesday, Swinney bought 5,000 shares at 152 pence each to take his holding to 920,000 shares, equivalent to 2.2% of the company, while Dixon bought 4,933 shares at 145p each to take her holding to 50,000 shares, equivalent to 0.1%. Tristel on Tuesday said it expects its interim pretax profit to rise year-on-year and said trading has been in line with its expectations. Tristel shares closed down 1.0% at 144.00p Tuesday.

Passenger aircraft leading company Avation said its executive chairman and an executive director both bought shares in the company on Monday. Jeff Chatfield, its executive chairman, bought 15,000 shares through his Epsom Assets vehicle at 127.50 pence per share. Roderick Mahoney, an executive director, bought the same number of shares at the same price on the same day. Shares in Avation closed up 1.2% at 130.00p on Tuesday.

Concrete block paving manufacturer Marshalls said a connected person of Chief Executive Martyn Coffey bought shares in the company on Thursday last week. The person bought 900 shares in the company at 344.36 pence. The shares were purchased on the same day Marshalls said it was set to outpace its expectations for 2015 following continued robust trading across the business. Shares in Marshalls closed down 1.0% at 321.00p Tuesday.

Regency Mines said Chairman and Chief Executive Andrew Bell bought 14.1 million shares in the company. Regency said Bell bought the shares at 0.015p per share, increasing his total holding to 64.0 million shares, or a 2.6% stake in the company. Regency did not say when the transaction took place. Regency shares closed up 30% at 0.0260p on Tuesday.

Gemstones miner Richland Resources said it was informed on Monday that Stockland Group, in which the family of Non-Executive Director Nicholas Sibley holds an interest, bought shares in the company on December 4 and on December 9. Stockland bought 100,000 Richland shares on December 4 and 200,000 on December 9, all at 3.00 pence per share. Sibley's beneficial interest in the company is now 14.2 million shares, or a 6.5% stake in the company. Shares in Richland closed up 13% at 3.40p on Tuesday.

DP Poland said Non-Executive Director Chris Moore purchased shares in the company on Monday. The company, which runs Domino's Pizza outlets in Poland, said Moore bought 440,000 shares at 22.50 pence per share, taking his total holding up to 1.7 million shares. Shares in DP Poland closed up 5.6% at 23.75p on Tuesday.

Infrastructure investor and manager John Laing Group said Chief Executive Olivier Brousse bought shares in the company on Monday. Brousse bought 45,000 shares at 202.00 pence per share, taking his total holding up to 96,282 shares. John Laing shares closed up 1.7% at 206.50p on Tuesday.

Specialist currency manager Record said Non-Executive Director Jane Tufnell bought shares in the company. Tufnell bought 150,000 shares at 28.50 pence per share on Tuesday. It is her first holding in the company, having joined the board in September. Tufnell is the founder of investment management house Ruffer and is chairman of GVQ Investment Management. Shares in Record closed up 1.8% to 28.50p Tuesday.

Aurora Investment Trust said Non-Executive Director Richard Martin bought shares in the company on Monday. Martin bought 20,000 shares at 156.00 pence per share, increasing his total holding to 30,100 shares. Shares in the trust closed up 0.6% at 155.90p Tuesday.

JD Wetherspoon said Company Secretary and Head of Legal Nigel Connor has sold shares in the company. Connor sold 1,573 shares in the pub operator for 760.1 pence per share on Tuesday. Wetherspoons shares closed up 0.5% at 761.50p Tuesday.

Investec said Allen Zimbler, chief integration officer, sold 19,536 shares in the banking and asset management group at an average price of 452.00 pence each. The share sale took place on Monday. The total value of the transaction was GBP88,302. Zimbler's remaining shareholding was not stated. Shares in Investec closed up 4.6% at 452.10p Tuesday.

Electra Private Equity on Monday said Director Edward Bramson purchased 1,276 shares in the company last Wednesday for a total of GBP46,082, at an average price of 3,611.0 pence per share. Bramson also acquired 160 convertible bonds for a total of GBP290,992, equating to an average of GBP1,819 per bond. Following the transaction, Bramson is interested in 10.8 million shares and 10,028 convertible bonds, representing a 31.06% stake in the company.
Bramson won a battle for a seat on Electra's board in early November following a public row between the activist investor and the trust. Bramson founded Sherborne Investors, in which Bramson holds his interest in Electra.
Electra shares closed flat at 3,669.0p Tuesday.
