LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Tuesday.

WH Smith said Karen Staunton, wife Chairman Henry Staunton, bought 20,000 shares at 1,598.28 pence per share Monday.
The purchase is valued at GBP320,000.
Following this transaction, the Stauntons hold 30,000 shares.
WH Smith will go ex-dividend on Thursday.
Shares in the book and stationery retailer closed down 0.4% at 1,603.00p Tuesday.

Supermarket chain J Sainsbury said Non-Executive Director Mary Harris bought 404 shares at a price of 258.48 pence per share Monday. Following this transaction, Harris holds 13,252 shares. She also holds non-executive roles at ITV and Reckitt Benckiser. The stock closed 1.7% higher at 267.50p Tuesday.

North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust said Chairman Peregrine Moncreiffe bought 6,000 shares at a price of GP20.08 per share Monday. Following this transaction, he holds 399,130 shares, which represents 2.74% stake in the trust. The stock closed up 1.1% at 2,017.25 pence Tuesday.

James Cropper said Robert Maddock, the husband of Finance Director Isabelle Maddock, sold 800 shares at a price of 501.5 pence each Monday. As a result Isabelle Maddock's beneficial interest in the company is 10,219 shares, which represents 0.11% of the issued share capital. Shares in the paper manufacturer closed up 1.0% at 512.67p Tuesday.
