DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Vodafone UK CEO Sells GBP1 Million Stock

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Monday.----------Vodafone Group said Vodafone UK Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Jeffery sold shares in the FTSE 100-listed telecommunications company.In a transaction on Thursday last week, Jeffery disposed 566,382 shares at a price of 185.43 pence each, worth GBP1.1 million. Following the transaction, Jeffery holds 1.0 million shares, the company said.Shares in Vodafone closed 0.8% lower at 181.02p each.----------Audio visual & document solutions distributor Midwich Group said Managing Director Stephen Fenby's sons, William and Edward, purchased 8,000 shares each in the company. The 8,000 shares were purchased at 605.00p each, for a total of GBP48,400 each. Both sons now hold an interest in 648,000 shares each in the company. Shares in Midwich closed down 1.6% at 605.00p.----------UDG Healthcare said Chief Financial Officer Nigel Clerkin and Non-Executive Director Myles Lee bought shares in the FTSE 250-listed clinical services provider last week. In a transaction on Wednesday last week, Clerkin acquired 20,000 shares at a price of 740p each, totalling GBP148,000. Then, on Thursday, Clerkin purchased another 20,000 shares at 745p each, worth GBP149,000. Also on Thursday, Lee and his wife bought 4,000 shares at a price of 752p per share, totalling GBP30,080. Shares in UDG Healthcare closed 1.5% higher at 757.00p each.----------UIL said directors of joint portfolio manager ICM Investment Management Ltd and Permanent Mutual Ltd purchased shares in the investment company, both in a transaction on Monday. Charles Jillings and Duncan Saville, each acquired 82,500 shares at a price of 183p per share, worth GBP302,000 in total. Shares in UIL closed down 1.4% at 179.00 pence.----------Technical plastics products supplier Carclo said Finance Director Sarah Matthew-DeMers purchased 20,450 shares in the company. Matthews-DeMers purchased the shares at 0.96p each, for a total of GBP19,632. The 20,450 shares Matthew-DeMers purchased means she now holds an interest in 0.03% of the company's issued share capital. Shares in Carclo closed down 1.1% at 93.00p each.----------Ashtead Group said Senior Independent Non-Executive Director Ian Sutcliffe sold shares in the industrial equipment rental company. In a transaction on Friday, Sutcliffe disposed of 24,500 shares at a price of 2,389 each, totalling GBP585,305. Shares in Ashtead closed broadly flat at 2,392.00p each.----------British American Tobacco said Kingsley Wheaton, a regional director for Americas & Sub-Saharan Africa, sold shares in the dual-listed tobacco company. In a transaction on Thursday last week, Wheaton disposed 1,645 shares at a price of 4,190.79p each, worth GBP68,939. Shares in British American Tobacco closed 0.1% lower at 4,149.00p each in London, while Johannesburg shares closed up 1.6% at ZAR755.85.----------Caledonia Mining Corp said Chairman Leigh Wilson bought 4,000 shares in the company in two separate transactions. Wilson bought the first 3,855 shares at USD8.45 and the following 145 shares at USD8.03 for a total aggregate consideration of USD33,738. Caledonia Mining shares closed up 3.1% at 639.00p. ----------
