DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Tesco Leadership Buys Shares After Results

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Thursday.

LONDON (Alliance News) - Tesco said a group of executives and directors, including Chief Executive Officer Dave Lewis, bought a total of 223,198 shares on Thursday.

The total value of the deals is worth about GBP446,000.

Details are as follows:

Lewis bought 99,950 shares at 200.1 pence each.

Chairman John Allan bought 50,891 shares at a price of 196.5p.

Senior Independent Director Richard Cousins bought 17,357 shares at 199p.

Chief Financial Officer Alan Stewart bought 50,000 shares at 202.4p.

Non-Executive Director Mikael Olsson bought 5,000 shares at 200.1p.

The purchases came after Tesco said Wednesday it swung back to profit in the first half of its financial year. The supermarket chain reported a GBP74 million pretax profit in the 26 weeks ended August 29, an improvement on the GBP19 million pretax loss a year before.

Shares closed up 2.0% at 200.95p Thursday.

Sabien Technology said Non-Executive Director Bruce Gordon bought 150,000 shares at a price of 6.05p each Wednesday.

Following this transaction, Gordon holds, directly and indirectly 5.9 million shares which represents approximately 13.4% of the company's issued share capital.

Sabien Technology on Wednesday said its pretax loss widened in the financial year to the end of June as it experienced a "disappointing" period, despite conditions improving in the second half.

Shares in the energy efficiency technology company closed down 6.1% at 5.75p Thursday.

Power systems developer Rolls-Royce Holdings said Senior Independent Director Lewis Booth bought 10,000 shares at a price of 734p per share Wednesday. Following this transaction, Booth holds 40,000 shares. The stock closed up 1.6% at 745.50p Thursday.

Regeneration and strategic land company MJ Gleeson said Scott Chamberlin, a senior manager, sold 26,829 shares at a price of 470p per share Thursday. The company said he also sold 1,372 shares at 490p each on Wednesday. Following this transaction, Chamberlin holds 23,128 shares, which represents 0.04% stake. The stock closed down 4.0% at 475.00p Thursday.
