DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Synectics Board Buy GBP106,800 In Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Wednesday.

Synectics said four board members bought GBP106,800 worth of shares in a series of purchases totalling 89,000 shares.

Among management, Chief Executive Officer Paul Webb bought 10,000 shares, and Finance Director Mike Stilwell bought 4,000 shares. After the purchases, Webb and Stilwell hold 308,883 and 55,484 shares, respectively.

The company also said two non-executive directors bought shares. Dennis Bate bought 50,000 shares and now holds 196,000 shares, and Michael Butler bought 25,000 shares, which is his only holding.

The shares were all bought at a price of 120 pence per share on Wednesday.

Shares in the security and surveillance systems company closed up 9.8% at 129.00p Wednesday.

Dalata Hotel Group said Chairman John Hennessy bought 17,000 shares at EUR4.69 each and now holds 100,000 shares. In a separate statement the company said Dermot Crowley, a senior manager, bought 11,000 shares at EUR4.70 each on Wednesday. Following the purchase, Crowley now holds 252,727 shares. The stock closed up 1.7% at 363.53p Wednesday in London.

President Energy said Chairman Peter Levine, through PLLG Investments, purchased 4.0 million shares at 5.0p per share on Tuesday. Following the transaction, Levine owns about 121.8 million shares in the oil and gas exploration and production company, equivalent to a 23% stake. The oil and gas stock closed up 13% at 5.87p Wednesday.

Casualty insurer Hiscox said Chief Underwriting Officer Richard Watson sold 40,000 shares at 973.5075p each on Tuesday. The sale reduces his holding to 711,397 shares. The stock closed down 1.7% at 968.16p Wednesday.

Spirent Communications said Chief Financial Officer Rachel Whiting bought 5,759 shares at 86.8130p per share on Wednesday. Following this transaction Whiting's beneficial interest is 93,048 shares, or 0.015% of the company's issued share capital. Shares in the communications software, hardware and testing services company closed up 2.3% at 88.50p Wednesday.
