DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Strategic Minerals MD Bolsters Stake

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Monday.

Strategic Minerals said Managing Director John Peters bought 1.3 million shares at a price of 0.42761 pence per share on Monday.

Following this transaction, Peters now holds 10.0 million shares, or a 0.8% stake in the miner.

Strategic Minerals on Friday reported a "significant improvement" in sales from its Cobre project in New Mexico and said it plans to progress talks to extend the formal access period to the Cobre magnetite stockpile.

The stock closed up 8.4% at 0.450p Monday.

LightwaveRF launched a conditional share subscription and open offer to raise up to GBP1.1 million. AIM-listed LightwaveRF - which specialises in apps for the remote monitoring of household power, heating and security - will launch the subscription and offer at a price of 13 pence per share. The price is a 21% discount to its closing share price of 16.5p at Friday last week. The open offer will issue up to 8.2 million new shares to raise GBP1.1 million. The conditional subscription will offer 384,615 new shares to raise GBP50,000, with shares being subscribed for by company directors Kevin Edwards and Tom Sykes, who do not currently hold shares in the company. Shares in LightwaveRF closed up 4.1% at 16.80 pence Monday.

Safestyle UK said Chief Executive Officer Steve Birmingham bought a total of 50,000 shares in the windows and doors retailer. Birmingham bought 30,000 shares at an average price of 251.00 pence each on Friday and 20,000 shares at an average price of 246.00p each on Thursday. After the purchases, Birmingham holds 4.2 million shares, or a 5.1% stake in the group. The stock closed up 0.3% at 256.25p Monday.

Majestic Wine said Chief Financial Officer James Crawford bought 5,000 shares at 296.00 pence each on Monday. Non-Executive Director Ian Harding also bought 2,000 shares last Thursday. Majestic Wine last Thursday said it swung to a loss in the first half of its financial year, but reinstated payment of a dividend as it it said it is confident in its future growth prospects. Shares in the wine retailer closed down 5.4% at 287.50p Monday.

Burberry Group said president of its Europe, Middle East, India & Africa region sold shares in the company on Friday. Burberry said EMEIA President Marco Gentile sold 7,834 shares at 1,398.00 pence each. The deal was worth GBP109,519.32. His holding after the disposal was not disclosed. Shares in the fashion house closed up 0.3% to 1,405.20p on Monday.

Communisis said Rosemary Blundell, a connected person of Chief Executive Officer Andy Blundell, bought 13,000 shares at a price of 36.59 pence per share on Monday. Blundell's total shareholding was not disclosed. Shares in the marketing services provider closed down 0.7% at 36.00p Monday.

Meggitt said its chairman and his wife bought shares in the company on Monday. Chairman Nigel Rudd bought 1,450 shares at a price of 454.3 each and said Lesley Rudd, his wife, bought 1,050 shares at the same price. Following this transaction, Nigel Rudd's beneficial holding increased to 122,000 shares. The stock closed up 1.1% at 453.30p Monday.

Croda International said Leisa Myers, the wife of Financial Controller Graham Myers sold 1,750 shares at a price of 3,130.938 pence per share Friday. The sale is worth GBP54,791.42 gross. The company also said Graham and Leisa Myers each bought 50 shares at 3,131.7p each and 3,131.85p each respectively. The stock closed up 1.5% at 3,189.00p Monday.
