DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Pearson Chairman Buys After Profit Warning

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Friday.

Pearson said Chairman Glen Moreno bought 10,000 American Depositary Receipts shares at a price of USD14.58 each on Thursday in wake of the company cutting its earnings per share expectations for 2015.

Following this transaction, Moreno holds 210,000 shares, which represents 0.02558% stake in the firm. Each ADR is equivalent to one ordinary share.

The media and education company on Wednesday cut its earnings per share expectations for 2015 following its sale of its PowerSchool business, the FT Group and stake in The Economist Group, as well as continued challenging market conditions and currency movements.

Pearson had previously guided for earnings per share of between 75p and 80 pence. However, following these sales, as well as movements in exchange rates, this range is reduced by around 5p to between 70p to 75p. It said EPS likely would be at the bottom of that range.

The stock closed down 5.2% at 900.50p, the worst performer in the FTSE 100.

Merlin Entertainments said Human Resources Director Tea Colaianni sold a total of 500,000 shares for about GBP1.9 million before expenses. Colaianni sold 250,000 shares at a price of 385.6 pence each on Thursday and an additional 250,000 shares were sold at 370.1067p each on Monday. Following the sale, she holds 200,001 shares or 0.020% of the issued share capital. Shares in the theme park operator closed up 2.4% at 395.47p Friday.

Fashion retailer SuperGroup said Brand and Design Director James Holder, who is one of the company's founders, sold 264,900 shares at a price of 1,510 pence per share Friday. The deal is worth about GBP4.0 million before expenses. Following this transaction, Holder holds 9.4 million shares, representing 11.56% of the issued share capital. The stock closed up1.9% at 1506.00p Friday.

Computacenter said Chairman Tony Lock bought 4,000 shares at a price of 746.6 pence per share Thursday. The company also said he bought 2,500 shares at 745.5p each on Wednesday. Following this transaction, Lock now holds 441,500 shares, representing approximately 0.36% of the company's issued share capital. Shares in the IT services provider closed up 0.5% at 756.50p Friday.

DJI Holdings said outgoing Chief Financial Officer Rodney Davis sold a total of 255,000 shares.

Following this transaction, Davis holds 2.8 million shares, which represents 1.9% stake in the firm.

DJI in September said that it had recruited Steven Prowse to lead the company's finance function, following the departure of Davis for personal reasons. Prowse had worked as a finance director and deputy CFO at both Party Gaming and bwin.com, now part of Bwin.party Digital Entertainment PLC.

Shares in the Chinese lottery products distributor closed up 2.3% at 45.50p Friday.

Hunting said Non-Executive Director John Nicholas bought 6,000 shares at a price of 404 pence per share Friday. Following this transaction, Nicholas's beneficial holding has increased to 11,000 shares, representing 0.007% of the company's share capital. Shares in the oil services company closed down 0.1% at 404.21p Friday.

John Laing Group said Finance Director Patrick O'Donnell Bourke bought 25,000 shares at a price of GBP1.915 each Friday. Following this transaction, he holds 76,282 shares, which represents a 0.021% stake in the firm. The stock closed up 1.2% at 192.80p Friday.

Tissue Regenix Group said Non-Executive Director Alan Miller bought 400,000 shares at a price of 16.75 pence per share on Wednesday. Greenko Group said two non-executive directors bought shares in the India-based developer, owner and operator of clean energy projects. Hari Kiran Vadlamani on Thursday bought 100,000 shares and 600,000 Greenko shares on Friday, at a price of 90p pence per share. The purchase is his only holding. Vin Murria purchased 152,000 shares on Wednesday at a price of 88p pence per share. Following this acquisition, Murria owns 452,000 shares representing 0.29% of the issued share capital of the company. The stock closed up 0.1% at 90.00p Friday.

West African focused gold mining company Amara Mining Friday said Finance Director Pete Gardner bought 49,485 shares at 10.10 pence per share on Thursday. Following this transaction, Gardner and persons connected to him are interested in 1.3 million shares representing about 0.30% of the issued ordinary share capital. The stock closed up 2.6% at 9.85p Friday.
