DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Greene King's Anand Buys Morrisons Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Monday.

Wm Morrison Supermarkets said the chief executive of pub company Greene King bought his first shares in the FTSE 250 supermarket chain.

Rooney Anand snapped up 12,500 shares at 160.36 pence each on Friday, which constitutes his only holding.

Anand was appointed to the Morrisons board effective from January 1 when he became a non-executive director and senior independent director. He has been Greene King's chief executive since 2005, having previously headed its brewing business.

The stock closed down 0.7% at 160.00p Monday.

Universe Group said Baljit Tank, a director, sold 3.5 million shares at 7.5p per share on Friday. The sale was conducted in order to to fund a property acquisition, the company said in a statement. Following the sale, Tank holds 11.8 million shares, representing a 5.1% stake. The company also said Finance Director Robert Smeeton bought 240,000 shares at the same price on Friday. He now holds 626,240 shares, representing approximately 0.3% of issued shares. Shares in the payment and on-line loyalty systems software developer closed up 1.2% at 8.61p Monday.

Nostrum Oil & Gas said Non-Executive Director Eike von der Linden bought 2,000 shares at 304p per share Friday. His total shareholding was undisclosed. Shares in the oil and gas exploration and production company closed up 0.4% at 296.00p Monday.

Lowland Investment Company said Non-Executive Director Karl Sternberg bought 500 shares at 1,210p per share on Friday. Following this purchase, Sternberg holds 6,260 shares in the company. The stock closed up 0.6% at 1,205.00p Monday.

International Biotechnology Trust said Non-Executive Director Caroline Gulliver bought 2,500 shares at 468.00p per share on Monday. Following this transaction, Gulliver holds 5,000 shares, representing less than a 1.0% stake in the trust. The stock closed down 1.3% at 453.25p Monday.

Mattioli Woods said that after the issue of a decree absolute in his divorce on January 11, Sales and Marketing Director Murray Smith ceased to be interested in 105,000 shares. The shares are held by his former wife. Smith's shareholding is now 96,818 shares, equating to 0.4% of the total shares in issue. Shares in the wealth manager closed down 0.4% at 625.00p Monday.

Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust said Non-Executive Director Susie Rippingall bought 12,500 shares at 139.43p per share on Monday. Rippingall now holds 25,000 shares in the trust. The stock closed down 0.5% at 137.00p Monday.

Thalassa Holdings said Non-Executive Director Francis Smulders bought 20,000 shares at 34.00p per share on Friday. The purchase is his only holding in the energy services company. The stock closed up 5.1% at 36.25p Monday.
