DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Dunelm Directors Buy After Strong Quarter

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Monday.

Dunelm Group said a group of directors, including Chief Executive Designate John Browett, bought a combined total of 26,261 shares on Friday, after the company reported a growth in sales in its first quarter results.

Browett bought 18,608 shares at 927p each and 2,998 shares at 925p each. He now holds 23,251 shares in total.

In June, Dunelm said it had hired Browett, the former chief executive of Dixons Retail, the electronics retailer which merged with Carphone Warehouse to form Dixons Carphone last year, as its new chief executive. He will replace incumbent chief Will Adderley in January 2016 but joined the board on July 1 in order to allow for a transition period.

The company also said Senior Independent Director Simon Emeny bought 2,155 shares at 926p each and now holds 28,555 shares in the company. Non-Executive Director William Reeve bought 2,500 shares at 944p each, which is his only holding.

Last Thursday, the homewares retailer reported growth in sales in the first quarter of its financial year which it said was due to improved product ranges, seasonal merchandise, and a better shopping experience for customers.

The stock closed down 0.1% at 947.00p Monday.

Property services and project management consultant Styles & Wood Group said Chairman Paul Mitchell bought 22,120 shares at a price of 200.5p per share Friday. Following this transaction, Mitchell now has a beneficial interest in 47,677 shares representing approximately 0.7% of the issued share capital. The stock closed up 4.3% at 207.50p Monday.

FTSE 250 infrastructure investor John Laing Group said Senior Independent Director David Rough bought 20,000 shares at a price of GBP1.923 per share Monday. Following this transaction, Rough holds 30.256 shares, which represents 0.008% stake in the firm. The company, which held its initial public offering in London in February, also said Rough's wife Barbara Rough bought 5,000 shares at GBP1.913 each, which is her only holding. The stock closed up 1.0% at 191.20p Monday.

Safestay said Non-Executive Director Stephen Moss bought 83,333 shares at 60p per share Monday. The purchase is his only holding in the hostel operator. Shares closed up 4.1% at 63.25p Monday.
