DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: BAE Non-Exec Spends GBP511,000 On Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Friday and late on Thursday.

Defence contractor BAE Systems said Non-Executive Director Elizabeth Corley bought shares in the company on Thursday. Corley bought 100,000 shares at 511.00 pence apiece, BAE said.

Her total holding following the purchase was not disclosed but the value of the transaction is GBP511,000.

Corley, the former chief executive of investment manager Allianz Global Investors, joined the BAE board in February. BAE shares closed up 0.8% at 528.18p.

Romania-focused property developer Globalworth Real Estate Investments said Chief Executive Ioannis Papalekas acquired shares in the company through his Zorviani investment vehicle on Thursday and again on Friday.

On Thursday, Papalekas bought 5,000 shares at EUR5.05 per share. Then, on Friday, he bought another 5,000 shares at EUR5.50, leaving him with a 36% stake or around 23.1 million shares.

The acquisitions followed Papalekas buying 5,000 shares on Wednesday at EUR5.10 per share.

Separately, Globalworth said Non-Executive Director Eli Alroy acquired 20,000 shares at EUR5.20 apiece through his AYRAD Investments vehicle, taking his holding up to 0.6% or 398,814 shares.

Globalworth shares closed up 7.5% at EUR5.40 on Friday.

Online grocery delivery company Ocado Group said Chief Financial Officer Duncan Tatton-Brown has bought shares in the company. Tatton-Brown bought 100,000 shares at 226.70 pence per share, taking his total holding up to 624,604 shares. The total value of the purchase is GBP226,700. On Tuesday, Ocado posted growth in profit for the 24 weeks to May 15 and said it does not believe the UK's decision to leave the European Union will impact its business. Ocado shares closed down 2.9% at 224.00p.

Housebuilder Redrow said Non-Executive Director Nick Hewson has bought shares in the company. Hewson bought 1,500 shares at 318.20 pence per share on Friday, taking his total holding up to 20,500 shares. On Tuesday, Redrow said its pretax profit for the year to the end of June would be at the upper end of analyst expectations after it sold more houses for more money and said demand still looked strong even after the vote by the UK to leave the European Union. Redrow shares closed up 5.8% to 332.5p.

DFS Furniture said its Chief Commercial Officer Nicholas Collard bought 11,858 shares in the company at 210.00 pence per share on Friday. Following the transaction, Collard has a beneficial interest in 31,621 shares or a 0.015% stake, DFS said. Shares in the furniture retailer closed down 0.3% at 208.5p.

Transport operator Stagecoach Group said Anne Griffiths, the wife of Chief Executive Martin Griffiths, has bought shares in the company. Anne Griffiths bought 20,000 shares at 209.37 pence each on Friday. Stagecoach shares closed down 7.8% at 213.1p, the worst performer in the FTSE 250 after JPMorgan Cazenove downgraded its rating on the company.

Engineering consultant Ricardo said Non-Executive Director Malin Persson bought shares in the firm on Thursday. Persson bought 1,500 shares at 764.23 pence per share, her first holding in the business. Ricardo shares closed down 0.1% at 738.5p.

Bonding products and adhesive components manufacturer Scapa Group said Non-Executive Director David Blackwood has bought shares in the company. Blackwood bought 15,128 shares in Scapa at 264.21 pence apiece, his only holding in the firm. Scapa shares closed up 1.2% at 267.06p.

Building and engineering products supplier Alumasc Group said Non-Executive Director David Armfield has acquired shares in the company. Armfield and unspecified connected persons bought 10,000 shares on Friday at 130.00 pence per share, taking his holding up to 35,000 shares in total. The purchase was made after Alumasc on Thursday said it had completed the sale of its Dyson Diecastings business and had entered its new financial year, to June 2017, in good shape. Shares in Alumasc closed up 6.0% to 128.83p.

Car dealer Vertu Motors said Chief Financial Officer Michael Sherwin increased his stake in the business on Thursday. Sherwin bought 11,869 shares at 42.125 pence per share, taking his total holding up to 424,466 shares, or a 0.1% stake in the business. Vertu shares closed up 0.1% at 42.02p.

Oil and gas explorer SOCO International said Non-Executive Director Mike Watts bought shares in the company on Thursday. Watts bought 4,847 shares at 143.50 pence per share, taking his total holding up to 124,696 shares. SOCO shares closed up 1.9% at 145.00p.

Retirement products provider JRP Group said Non-Executive Director Steve Melcher bought shares in the company on Thursday. Melcher bought 40,000 shares at 109.44 pence per share, taking his total holding to 79,439 shares. Shares in JRP closed up 1.0% at 111.13p.

The Mercantile Investment Trust said Independent Non-Executive Director Jeremy Tigue bought shares in the company on Thursday. Tigue bought 680 shares at 1,462.00 pence per share, taking his total holding to 11,923 shares. Shares in the trust were up 1,490.85p.

Gresham House Strategic said Anthony Dalwood, chairman of the Strategic Equity Investment Committee for Gresham House Asset Management, investment manager of the company, has bought shares. Gresham House Strategic said Dalwood bought 1,285 shares at 777.75 pence, taking his holding to 18,895 shares, or a 0.5% stake in the investment firm. Shares in Gresham House Strategic closed up 0.3% at 777.5p.

Urals Energy said its Non-Executive Chairman Andrew Shrager has made two share purchases, conducted on Thursday and Friday. Shrager purchased 100,000 shares at 1.75 pence per share on Thursday, and then purchased a further 150,000 shares at 2.00p per share on Friday, Urals said. The purchases were made through Hillsilk, which Shrager controls. Following the purchases, Shrager holds 2.3 million shares, or a 0.93% stake in the company, Urals added. Shares in Urals closed down 8.6% at 1.6p.

Urban regeneration and strategic land company MJ Gleeson on Thursday said Chairman Dermot Gleeson bought 11,988 shares in the company on Wednesday at 415.00 pence each. Following this, Gleeson holds 1.1 million shares representing 2% of the company's issued share capital. Shares in MJ Gleeson closed up 4.8% at 440.00p.

Weiss Korea Opportunity Fund on Thursday said Andrew Weiss bought 33,338 shares in the company at 133.5 pence each. Weiss is founder and chief executive of the company's investment manager Weiss Asset Management LP. Following this, Weiss holds 6.5 million shares in Weiss Korea, representing 6.6% of its issued share capital. Shares in Weiss Korea closed up 1.5% at 135.5p.
