LONDON (Alliance News) - Miner South32 PLC said Non-Executive Director Frank Cooper bought 122,866 shares at a price of AUD1.464968 per share on the Australian Securities Exchange on Wednesday.
The purchase is his only holding in the company after parent company BHP Billiton PLC appointed him to the board in April. Cooper has more than 35 years' experience in the accounting profession, specialising in the mining, energy and utilities sector, including most recently as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, BHP said. Cooper also has been a director of Woodside Petroleum Ltd since February 2013.
South32 was trading down 1.3% at 67.88 pence Wednesday in London.
