(Alliance News) - Data security firm Shearwater Group PLC on Friday said Chair David Williams purchased 2.5 million shares at a price of 2.18 pence each.
The GBP54,500 deal took place on Thursday and Williams' resultant holding was not disclosed.
Shearwater also said that VJM Investments, a company closely associated with Chief Executive Phil Higgins, purchased 2.3 million shares at a 2.19p average price over Wednesday and Thursday. The aggregate price of these shares was GBP49.3 million and Higgins's interest was also undisclosed.
Shares in Shearwater closed up 5.8% at 2.28 pence on Friday.
On Tuesday last week, Shearwater launched a new data security product offering multi-factor authentication as a service. MFA is a security system which requires users to use different categories of credentials for verification.
