DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Securities Trust of Scotland Chairman Buys Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - Securities Trust of Scotland PLC said Monday Neil Donaldson, a non-executive chairman, had bought a total of 512 shares last week at around 146 pence each.

Donaldson reinvested dividends to acquire 345 shares at 146.00 pence on September 10, and bought 167 shares at 145.89 pence each as part of regular monthly savings on September 11.

Following the transactions, Donaldson holds 94,956 shares, equal to less than 1% of the company. Of the total, 50,000 shares are held in the name of Self Trade LR Nominees, with 44,956 shares held through an Alliance Trust Savings plan.

Shares in STS were trading at 145.64 Monday, up 1.3%.
