LONDON (Alliance News) - Brewer SABMiller PLC on Thursday said Non-Executive Director Dinyar Devitre sold shares in the company on May 26. SABMiller said it was informed about the sale on Tuesday.
Devitre sold 1,125 shares in the company for 3,571.66 pence. He is a nominee on the board of Altria Inc, the US tobacco giant which owns a major stake in the company.
On Wednesday, Anheuser-Busch InBev NV went formal with its GBP71.0 billion takeover bid for SABMiller, a deal which will create by far the biggest brewer in the world, responsible for around a third of all global beer volumes.
SABMiller shares were up 0.1% to 4,052.50p on Thursday.
