DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Provident Financial Interim Chairman Buys Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 250-listed Provident Financial PLC Tuesday said Interim Chairman Stuart Sinclair bought a total of 29,417 shares on Monday.

Sinclair bought 19,452 shares at 1,023.00 pence each, 7,449 shares at 1,001.00p each, and 2,516 shares at 988.00p each, for a total cost of GBP298,416.

Last month, Provident Financial confirmed it appointed Interim Executive Chairman Malcolm Le May as permanent chief executive officer.

Sinclair, previously a non-executive director, was then appointed as interim chairman as the board looks for a permanent replacement.

Shares in the subprime lender closed down 1.1% at 669.80p Tuesday.
