LONDON (Alliance News) - London Stock Exchange Group PLC said new Chairman Donald Brydon bought 5,000 shares at a price of GBP24.77627 per share Friday, which is his only holding.
In July, the LSE named Brydon, at the time chairman of Royal Mail PLC and formerly of the London Metal Exchange, to take on the same role at the bourse. The LSE had been looking for a successor to Chris Gibson-Smith since July 2014. Brydon left the role of chairman at Royal Mail in August. He has been the chairman of business software company Sage Group PLC since 2012.
In a separate announcement Friday, London Stock Exchange said it has teamed up with six major dealer banks and the Chicago Board Options Exchange on a new derivatives venture called CurveGlobal.
The stock was down 0.2% at 2,470.00p Friday.
