(Alliance News) - New Century AIM VCT PLC on Monday said Director Michael Barnard bought 24,612 shares at a price of 70 pence per share on Wednesday last week for GBP17,228.
Barnard now holds 2.0 million shares, equal to a 25% stake in the venture capital trust.
In late June, New Century AIM reported a difficult financial year, ending with a 22% drop in net asset value per share to 68.81 pence on February 28 from 88.22p the year before. The trust's investment manager said at that time that although the company's annual performance was "disappointing", there were ground for cautious optimism despite a likely up-tick in volatility due to "political events".
Shares in New Century AIM closed untraded at 71.00 pence on Monday.
