(Alliance News) - Metro Bank PLC said on Monday that the wife of Chair Vernon Hill has purchased GBP275,206 worth of shares in the company.
Shirley Hill bought 100,000 shares at a price of just under 275.21 pence each on Friday.
It was not disclosed how many total shares that either had following the transaction.
Metro Bank said Hill - who as well as being the chair, founded the company in 2010 - will leave his role though a timetable for his departure was not set.
Days later, it was announced that Finance Director David MacLean would leave the FTSE 250-constituent and join online banking firm Revolut Ltd.
Shares in Metro Bank were up 6.4% at 292.60 pence each in London on Monday morning.
