DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Laird Chairman And Non-Executive Buy Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - Laird PLC said both its Non-Executive Director Michael Parker and Chairman Martin Read bought shares on Friday, raising their stakes.

Parker bought 33,945 shares at a price of 292.3937 pence per share Friday and, following this transaction, Parker now holds 51,945 shares.

The company said Read bought 16,928 shares at 293.80p each Friday. He now holds 47,317 shares.

Laird on Friday said its expectations for 2016 are "broadly unchanged", although it expects an increased weighting towards the second half, and upped its interim dividend despite reporting a significant drop in profit for its first half.

The stock closed down 12% at 293.30p, one of the worst performers in the FTSE 250 Friday.
