Smart Metering Systems PLC - Glasgow-based energy infrastructure, such as meters, grid-scale batteries and carbon reduction assets - Chief Executive Officer Tim Mortlock buys 13,717 shares at 729.04 pence, worth GBP100,003, on Tuesday. He now has 21,202 shares. Mortlock took over as CEO from Alan Foy at the start of this month.

Restaurant Group PLC - Wagamama and Frankie & Benny's chain owner - Non-Executive Chair Ken Hanna buys 100,000 shares at GBP0.77, worth GBP77,000, on Wednesday. Restaurant Group on Wednesday said it narrowed its annual loss despite 2021 being heavily impacted by Covid-19 restrictions, which prevented sit-down dining in the first part of the year.
