DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Greencore Chair And Non-Executive Buys Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - Greencore PLC said its chair and non-executive directors bought shares worth a combined GBP61,830 in the sandwich maker Wednesday after shares fell 29% on Tuesday after reporting its boss was taking control of its struggling US operations.

Gary Kennedy - chair since 2013 - acquired 30,000 shares at 121.10 pence each, worth GBP36,330.

Heather McSharry - non-exec since 2013 - acquired 20,000 shares at 127.50 pence each, worth GBP25,500.

On Tuesday, Greencore reported Chief Executive Officer Patrick Coveney took direct control of its US operations and set about restructuring the unit in order to improve its performance.

Shares in Greencore were 1.1% higher at 128.70 pence on Wednesday.
