LONDON (Alliance News) - Havelock Europa PLC Thursday said its former chief executive and incoming Non-Executive Director Hew Balfour bought 70,000 shares at 13.875 pence per share on Wednesday.
The purchase is Balfour's only holding.
Balfour served as chief executive of the company between 1989 and 2010, and he is currently a non-executive director of freight and shipping company SAS Holdings Ltd, electricity utility company Ebico Ltd and music festival organiser The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Ltd.
Balfour will replace Alastair Kerr, who joined the board in September 2012 and will stand down at the company's annual general meeting in June, Havelock said.
Shares in the interior designer were up 4.7% at 13.88p Thursday.
