LONDON (Alliance News) - Daily Mail & General Trust PLC said Executive Director Paul Dacre sold 33,000 shares at a price of 740 pence per share on Friday.
Dacre's total shareholding after the sale was not disclosed.
Earlier this month DMGT said Dacre, editor of the Daily Mail, was appointed as chairman and editor-in-chief of DMGT subsidiary Associated Newspapers with effect from October.
Dacre will leave his role of editor of the Daily Mail after 28 years in November. He will also step down as a board director of DMGT prior to the end of the financial year. He will be replaced by Geordie Greig who edits the Daily Mail's sister publication the Mail on Sunday.
The stock closed up 0.2% at 740.50p Friday.
