DIRECTOR DEALINGS: Cenkos Says Durkin And Hodges Add To Holdings

9th Dec 2015 18:00

LONDON (Alliance News) - Cenkos Securities PLC on Wednesday said Chief Executive Jim Durkin has bought 50,000 shares in the stockbroker.

The CEO was joined by Paul Hodges, an executive director, who bought the same number of shares.

Both directors bought the shares on Wednesday at 165.0 pence each.

Durkin now owns about 4.9 million shares in Cenkos, equivalent to an 8.6% stake, while Hodges' 5.0 million shares equate to an 8.9% holding.

Earlier this week Cenkos said it is not under investigation by the UK's Serious Fraud Office. The stockbroker said it has "not been asked to provide, and nor has it provided, any information" to the SFO in relation to any investigation.

"The company is currently working with its advisers to address and rectify the position in relation to the inaccurate reporting referred to above," Cenkos said in a statement following a press report.

Cenkos used to be the nominated adviser to Quindell, now Watchstone Group, which is under investigation by the SFO over its past business and accounting practices.

Shares in Cenkos closed down 1.2% at 166.00p on Wednesday.
