LONDON (Alliance News) - Cable & Wireless Communications PLC Tuesday said that the following executive directors all bought shares in the company at a price of 46.00 pence per share, after taking place in its share placing on November 6.
Last week, the telecommunications service provider said it raised GBP113.8 million in a placing of 252.8 million shares at a price of 45 pence, equivalent to around 10% of its issued share capital.
Chairman Richard Lapthorne bought 500,000 shares, and now holds a total of nine million shares.
Chief Executive Phil Bentley bought 700,000 shares, increasing his shareholding to just short of 5.3 million shares held in the company.
Chief Financial Officer Perley McBride purchased 700,000 shares, and only holds those shares in the company.
Non-Executive Independent Director Mark Halmin bought 22,222 shares and now holds a total of 122,222 shares in the company.
Shares in the telecommunications service provider were trading 2.1% higher Tuesday before midday at 46.97 pence.
