LONDON (Alliance News) - Atlas Mara Ltd Thursday said six directors, including founders Robert Diamond and Ashish Thakkar, have bought shares at an average price of USD5.30 in the African bank investor.
Atlas Mara's managers and founders have been buying shares on the open market after pledging to do so back on October 29, when the company said it swung to profit in the nine months ended September 30 and launched a USD10.0 million share buyback programme.
Diamond bought 2,410 shares, while Thakkar bought 1,340. Chief Executive John Vitalo bought 1,930 shares.
Chief Financial Officer Arina McDonald, General Counsel Beatrice Hamza Bassey and Executive Committee Member Bradford Gibbs each bought 1,440 shares.
All shares purchases took place on Tuesday.
Shares in Atlas Mara closed down 3.2% at USD5.30 on Thursday.
