(Alliance News) - Airtel Africa PLC on Tuesday said the investment vehicle of Director Shravin Bharti Mittal bought more shares in the company, bring total purchases since the start of last week to more than GBP6 million.
The telecommunications company said that in several transactions from Friday last week to Monday, Bharti Global Ltd bought 3.0 million shares for a total of GBP2.4 million.
Shares in Airtel Africa were trading 1.0% higher at 79.40 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London.
The latest purchases follow Bharti Global buying a GBP1.6 million in shares on Thursday last week, and GBP2.2 million worth of shares between Tuesday and Wednesday.
It was not disclosed how many shares Bharti Global now holds.
