LONDON (Alliance News) - Graphene-based products firm Directa Plus PLC confirmed Wednesday it has raised GBP3.2 million in its previously announced placing.
Earlier, the company said it hoped to raise GBP3.0 million by placing at least 6 million shares at 50 pence each, as well as an open offer for another GBP1 million at the same price.
Directa Plus raised GBP3.2 million in the placing, issuing 6.3 million new shares at 50p.
Shares were untraded on Wednesday, last quoted at 48.21p.
Non-Executive Chairman Peter Middleton said: "We are delighted by the level of support we have received for the placing from both existing and new institutional investors.
"The placing price of 50p means no discount to yesterday's closing price and represents in the Board's view a positive endorsement by the professional investment community of Directa Plus' technology and prospects," he added.
"The shares available in the open offer will allow our loyal private shareholders to participate on the same terms as the placing investors. I thank our existing holders for their support and look forward to welcoming our new investors to Directa Plus."
The placing was run by Cantor Fitzgerald Europe and N+1 Singer.
