(Alliance News) - Directa Plus PLC said Monday it has signed an agreement with Italian firm Comerio Ercole SpA to pursue a joint research and development project using its G+ technology.
The supplier of graphene-based products said it will work with Comerio to develop products in the rubber and tyres, plastic and non-woven materials industries.
Directa said the partners will use Comerio's own research & development laboratory, "with mixing and calendering machinery, to explore prototype processes using polymers and elastomers that could in future be useful to produce and improve compounds containing G+".
Comerio is an Italian engineering and manufacturing company, specializing in rubber and composite material processing and in the machinery used to manufacture such products, Directa said.
Giulio Cesareo, founder and chief executive officer of Directa Plus, said: "Combining Comerio's deep expertise in materials and machinery with our world leading knowledge and understanding of graphene, will help create new market opportunities for both our companies."
Directa shares were down 1.1% in London at 74.20 pence each on Monday.
