(Alliance News) - Directa Plus PLC said Tuesday it has signed an agreement with asphalt performance enhancing firm Iterchimica, for the supply of a special grade of Directa Plus's G+ grapheme product, known as ITC1.
Directa Plus will supply the product for an initial duration of three years, and is expected to allow them to take advantage of existing business opportunities in Italy, the UK and the US.
The first order of G+ ITC1 nano-platelets for asphalt for the production of asphalt supermodifier Gipave has been received from Iterchimica.
"The potential of Gipave to potentially triple the life of roads and runways is attracting significant worldwide interest from the construction industry. Its ecological benefits will also help countries to meet their carbon reduction obligations and free up resources at a time when all national and regional governments need financial assistance to fight the current Covid-19 pandemic," said Chief Executive Officer Giulio Cesareo.
Shares in Directa Plus closed 14% higher at 82.00 pence on Tuesday in London.
