(Alliance News) - Directa Plus PLC on Tuesday said it has secured an Italian patent for a new textile membrane based on a polyurethane film containing the company's G+ graphene nanoplatelets.
The new membrane will be marketed under the company's Grafytherm and Grafyshield brands. It provides water protection as well as breathability together with thermal and electrical conductivity, infrared absorption and bacteriostaticity
Directa Plus, which produces graphene nanoplatelets-based products for consumer and industrial markets, said the patent for the new membrane is in the process of being extended internationally. The new membrane has been developed by the company in conjunction with partner, Novaresin.
London-listed shares in Directa Plus were trading 1.8% higher at 85.00 pence each on Tuesday.
