(Alliance News) - Directa Plus PLC said Wednesday it has secured OEKO-TEX certification for its proprietary G+ graphene printing paste technology.
Eco Passport by OEKO-TEX is an independent certification system for chemicals, colourants and auxiliaries used in the textile and leather industry.
The producer & supplier of graphene nanoplatelets based products said each individual ingredient in G+ printing paste was analysed to determine whether the product meets statutory requirements and textile industry standards.
The results confirmed that no element, nor the final product, is harmful to human health, the company said.
"The Eco Passport also provides proof that G+ printing paste meets the criteria for ecologically responsible textile and leather manufacture," Directa Plus said.
Giulio Cesareo, founder and chief executive officer, said: "Both brands and manufacturers value the Eco Passport as credible proof that materials, dyes, and other elements used textile and leather production are safe for end users and environmentally sustainable."
Directa Plus shares were trading 3.5% higher in London at 88.00 pence each on Wednesday.
